All This Wasted Beauty
liner notes

Photography Information

The cover art's background is a public domain image of London Bridge which I thought was pretty. And it's falling down, of course, so it's beautiful and tragic... and wasted beauty, since I'm not really standing in front of it, just superimposed. So it's fake. And I'm all whited-out.

The inside cover features little pictures of all the girls. This isn't a group shot. They don't even know each other, most of them. Lori doesn't know anyone except through pictures and videos. Mindy and Brittany and Tarah know each other. Trish and Nyleva know each other. I know all of them, though none in the Biblical sense (husband, under-age, boyfriend, boyfriend, under-age, boyfriend). This is the order they are in: Lori, Mindy, Trish, Tarah, Brittany, Nyleva. What order is that? Just the order that worked best with the way they were cut out. I snapped all the pictures (including the one of myself) except the ones of Lori, Trish, and Nyleva. Some unknown folks did that.

The back cover is the day that Brittany and I snuck off to Bay St. Louis. Pretty place. We're on the pier.

This was when I recorded the music. The vocals were recorded at various times that I didn't keep up with. Roughly done at the time the music was done, however.

I also recorded a very non-official album called The Diamondhead EP which was a temporary CD for me to give the new Devicettes so they could have a souvenier before I made the real album later. This is the cover art:
